Yakhni Biryani

Ingredients

  • 1/2 Kg Mutton
  • 2-3 cloves of garlic
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tsp saunf
  • 1 tbsp sabut dhaniya
  • salt
  • 4 glasses of water
  • 1/2 kg rice, pre soaked for half an hour
  • 4 tbsp ghee
  • 4-5 cloves
  • 4-5 cardamom
  • 2-3 cinnamon sticks
  • 1/2 tsp Zeera
  • 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • A pinch of saffron, mixed with water

Method

  • Mix garlic, onion, saunf, sabut dhaniya, to the meat and place on stove till meat is cooked.
  • In a big kadai,heat oil and sauce cloves, cardamom, cinnamon and zeera.
  • Add ginger garlic paste.
  • Remove meat from the water and set the water aside.
  • Add meat to the masala prepared and roast.
  • Add pre-soaked rice and the water/mutton gravy previously set aside.
  • Cook until rice is done
  • Reduce heat and add saffron water.
  • Garnish with golden fried onions and serve.
