A Konkani Brahmin married to Syrian Christan, Kalpana developed her kitchen skills from the age of 15 years under the expert guidance of her mother who was appreciated for her cooking skills always by anyone who tasted her food and pickles.

She mastered Syrian Christian as her husband doesn’t eat anything other than that cuisine. Maintaining the authenticity of the dish is her first priority and she hand makes all the masalas from scratch even though the process is complex and time consuming. While cooking and hates using short cuts.

She sharpened her culinary skills cooking for family get togethers. She has experience in hospitality industry for more than 20 years which she recently gave up her to pursue her passion in cooking.

She has also honed her skills in baking and conducts classes for children.
