Hoihnu Hauzel is an independent journalist based in Delhi. She has written and reported extensively on travel, hospitality and lifestyle for different dailies where she worked for over 14 years with the Asian Age, Indian Express, Hindustan Times, Times of India and The Telegraph.

Hoihnu hopes to promote and connect Northeast with the rest of the country and beyond through her writings and entrepreneurial ventures, Northeast Odyssey, a portal that showcases select hotels, resorts and homestays from the Northeast; and, an online magazine on Northeast called NE Travel and Life that captures and documents the bright side of Northeast.

She also authored the first-ever comprehensive cookbook on the Northeast, published by Penguin India in 2004. She is particularly keen on the evolution of the cuisine, cultures and history of Northeast and keeps a close track on the subject and regularly writes for different publications.
