At the outset,to start my introduction, i would like to quote these lines of a favourite song of mine by Van Morrison. ” A Brand New Day.

When all the dark clouds roll away, And the sun begins to shine I see my freedom from across the way And it comes right in on time, Well it shines so bright and it gives so much light And it comes from the sky above, Makes me feel so free makes me feel like me And lights my life with love……” About myself, I enjoy doing, experiencing and sharing things that fill my soul.

Travelling, Nature photography, Literature, Poetry, Drama, Theater, Music and of late ,in love with the food world; a passion that keeps us alive and kicking with our positivity and zeal.

Another person apart from my near and dear ones, who has always been my source of inspiration and strength at all times, Dr. Bhupen Hazarika, the bard and balladeer ,a true vagabond at heart, ” beena manzil pe ghumte rehna, the whole world is my home”, I believe in this philosophy . Professionally, I am working as a doctor .

I am married and the mother of a single girl child,Emma.She’s 6yrs old.We both are in love with each other and also quenches my desire to relive the chilhood days and life to the fullest. We all want a littel bit of love, little bit of fun and little bit of life, and falling in love with the food world was the best thing that has ever happened to me.

I would love to serve those recipies which I learnt from my grandma’s kitchen, through travel and of course, some which came out of experimentation with flavours . Cooking is fun, and its equally refreshing seeing people enjoy the food I cook .The aroma,the texture,the taste grounded in our own soil motivates me.

I love to keep authentic flavours as they are. At the end , I would like to mention a small memory of my childhood days,which still lingers on at some corner of my heart ,when winter approaches – my grandmother and her pickles. Pickling is an endless imaginative sky with all shades of hues and colour ; no wonder , only few can resist it.

Those images of sun dried bottels of pickles are still fresh in my mind.Time waits for nobody ,only the memory remains. Just as the flavours linger in ones mind, I believe my food will do so. Lets create beautiful moments with food, nature, love and life.
